ABOUT REMY
WILDLIFE AND EXPEDITION FILMMAKER
In 2023, I was accepted into the Wildlife Filmmaking Masters at UWE Bristol, delivered in collaboration with the BBC Natural History Unit. Through this program, I produced an award-winning adventure and expedition film, In Search of the Grey. The project marked a more personal direction in my filmmaking and contributed to a broader, considered conversation around wild horse management in Australia’s alpine regions.
I'm a wildlife and documentary filmmaker based in Sydney, Australia. Over recent years, I've been fortunate to travel widely, documenting a range of remarkable wildlife behaviours and natural phenomena. With a degree in environmental science and wildlife ecology from the University of Sydney, I've drawn on this training in the field to better understand the complex relationships that shape the natural world, and to share those stories with a wider audience.
I'm motivated by stories that celebrate the resilience of nature, while also acknowledging where ecosystems are under pressure. Human influence on the environment is undeniable, but I believe meaningful change often begins at a local level. By highlighting practical, achievable approaches led by communities and land managers, my work aims to encourage action and show how small steps can lead to lasting impact.
Alpine environments are both my specialty and my passion. Life above the snow line, working in the cold exposed conditions where wind, snow, and ice are constant companions are where I thrive. These challenging landscapes shape not only my visual approach, but also my respect for the resilience and fragility of the ecosystems that exist there. Through this work, I'm aiming to create films that are informative and honest to the places and species at their centre.
